What is IATEFL?
With over 4,000 members on 6 continents, the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) is one of the most thriving communities of ELT teachers in the world. Our mission is to “link, develop and support English Language Teaching professionals” worldwide. For 50 years the association has grown, as has the range of benefits available to members.

Types of membership
£61 a year for individuals (£39 for retired and students) and £189 for institutions, you can enjoy all the benefits of becoming a member of IATEFL.

For newer teachers in the first 5 years of their EFL career (and who have not previously been a member of IATEFL) our Early Career Teacher (ECT) membership offers 2 years membership for the price of 1, as a little extra support.
