What sort of jobs can be posted on the IATEFL Jobs Market?
We welcome postings for any roles that would be suitable for English language teaching professionals.
 
How much does it cost to advertise a job on the IATEFL Jobs Market?
To publish your vacancy for one month the cost is £75 (Excluding VAT)
 
Will I be charged VAT for posting a job?
Once we receive your Jobs Market booking we will determine whether it is necessary for you to pay VAT on your order before requesting payment from you.
 
How long does it take for a posting to go live?
On receiving a jobs market booking we will calculate whether we need to apply VAT to your order. You will then receive confirmation that you are able to make payment. Job posts will not be placed until full payment has been received. Once payment is received we will aim to publish your vacancy with 1 working day wherever possible. Please note we may not be able to publish postings during the annual IATEFL conference.
 
How can I pay for my posting?
You can pay for your posting by credit or debit card online or by phone, or by bank transfer. Details can be found on your order confirmation. Payments must be made in British pounds sterling.
 
How long will my job be posted for?
Vacancies will be live on our website for one month, after which they will be removed. Posts can be removed earlier than this if you wish, but the full package cost (£75 excl. VAT) will still apply.
 
Will you collect CVs for us?
We do not accept or store CVs on your behalf. Candidates will be advised to apply for your roles directly with you, either by sending their application to an email/postal address you provide, or via your own website.
 
Will you contact candidates on our behalf and/or arrange interviews?
We will provide a link to your website or designated email address for further information or to apply for a position, but we will not store or process candidate details or applications, or get involved in arranging or carrying out any part of an interview or selection process.
 
Can I include a link to my website in the advert?
Yes, we can add a link to your website for further information or for candidates to apply for the position.
 
Is there any wording which cannot be used in my advert?
All adverts must comply with United Kingdom legislation in respect of discrimination, data protection and privacy, and equality. Job adverts must not be directly or indirectly discriminatory on ther basis of gender (unless a genuine occupational need), ethnic background, native language, sex or sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, age or disability. The term 'native speaker' should not be used. The term 'high level of English proficiency' or reference to levels on the CEFR are deemed acceptable.
 
There is an error in my job posting, can I edit it?
If you notive an error in your posting, please contact [email protected] with the corrected text and we will amend this for you.
 
I no longer want to receive applications for my vacancy, how do I remove my advert?
Please contact [email protected] if you wish to remove the advert prior to the agreed advert end date. Please note that the full package cost will still apply if you wish to remove your post prior to the scheduled end date.
